Paul has directed BBC tv serial drama, written and directed feature length scripted drama docs for UK and USA networks and made 12 independent short film dramas. He has worked with actors including Gareth David-Lloyd (Torchwood), Olivia Hallinan (Larkrise to Candleford), Iain Glen (Game of Thrones), Georgina Rich (Black Mirror), Dudley Sutton (Lovejoy), Jeff Rawle (Drop the Dead Donkey) and Ivanno Jeremiah (Humans). He has attended the Raindance Film School, the Robert McKee story seminar, plus actors' workshops and writers' rooms. His most recent work includes Witches of Essex, exploring the cruel and barbaric witchtrials held in Essex in the 16th and 17th centuries, and Royal Autopsy, exploring the lives and deaths of our British Monarchs, both series interweaving sumptuous scripted historical drama with factual cold case investigation. Paul is currently developing a number of historical dramas and a children's drama series. Away from the screen, Paul has returned to his roots in theatre, directing the stage production revival of Before Nell / After Agincourt, starring Gareth David-Lloyd and Felix Uff, and Horatio Nelson: Fever & Fire, a new play written and performed by Adam Preston. He can also be found on assorted film sets as a Supporting Artist.
