Wonders of Life

With Prof Brian Cox

Back on the road (again) with Prof Brian Cox, this time about the physics of life. My episode is all about the size of life and is filmed entirely in Australia.

First to Adelaide and (after a quick exploration of the McClaren Vale wine region) a hop over to Port Lincoln to go out filming Great White Sharks. From South Australia to Broken Hill in New South Wales, and a short drive north to Fowlers Gap to see the huge Red Kangaroos. A short hop south back into South Australia to Narracorte for the Little Bent Wing bats (plus an excursion to the Coonawarra wine region).

Onwards by car into the state of Victoria to the Grampians National Park (and the Great Western wine region) and then onwards to Healesville just east of Melbourne to film the mighty Mountain Ash trees (and to taste some of the wines of the Yarra Valley).

Next to Brisbane in Queensland to film Rhino Beetles and some microscopic wasps. Then across to Perth in Western Australia to film the strange bacterial blobs that are the Thrombolites (plus a little tasting of the Swan Valley wines). Finally to Christmas Island (an Australian protectorate) to film giant Robber Crabs.
